Data Deletion

You can ask us to delete your data at any time. This page explains how, for each kind of user.

If you have a Chat Fits account

Disconnect Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp

1. Sign in and open Channels.
2. Next to the connected Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number, click the bin icon, then Disconnect.

Its access tokens are deleted immediately and no new messages are received or sent. You can also remove our app from your Facebook account under Settings and privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites).

Delete conversations

In Conversations, open a conversation and click the delete button. It is deleted permanently from our systems.

Delete your whole account

Email [email protected] from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm the request and delete your account and all its data (chatbots, imported content, conversations, contacts, leads, tickets, connected accounts and team members) within 30 days. Invoices we must keep by law are kept for the required period.

If you messaged a business through Chat Fits

If you chatted on a business's website, or messaged its Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number, and that business uses Chat Fits, the business controls your messages.

1. Contact the business and ask it to delete your conversation and details; it can do this from its dashboard.
2. Or email us at [email protected] with the business's name and the name, email address or phone number you used (for Messenger or Instagram, your profile name). We will pass the request to the business and help make sure it is completed within 30 days.

What happens after a deletion request

• We confirm the request, and may ask you to prove who you are so no one can delete someone else's data.
• Data is removed from our live systems within 30 days, and from backups within a further 30 days.
• We send you a confirmation when it is done.
